Senior Town Planner | Edinburgh | Architectural and Planning Consultancy
£30,000 - £45,000
Our Client is an established planning and development consultancy, servicing clients throughout the British Isles. Founded in 2004, they provide highly commercial advice, adding value to clients' assets across the country. The Directors hold over 60 years combined experience as Chartered Town Planners operating in the private and public sectors, specialising in large scale retail, residential, commercial, mixed-use, student and build-to-rent development. Based in Edinburgh City Centre, the consultancy advises clients throughout Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and elsewhere in the British Isles. They are looking for a creative and talented Senior Planner with a collaborative mindset to join their highly skilled team of planning experts.
The role involves duties such as:
- Engaging in a wide range of commissions for private, public, voluntary and government clients, across all key development sectors.
- Managing planning applications and appeals whilst providing accurate and efficient advice to clients.
- Demonstrating an ability to marshal evidence in support of numerous planning projects.
- Investing in the development of a range of sites and projects and assessing sites for development sustainability.
Experience required:
- MRTPI or an equivalent accredited qualification,
- At least 5 years of planning experience working within a private consultancy or local authority,
- General knowledge and understanding of the city of Edinburgh and the surrounding area (not essential).
