Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experience

Due to continued expansion, our client a growing planning and development consultancy are urgently looking to appoint an experienced Senior Town Planner to join their team in Essex. The successful candidate will become a key member of the team, helping to mentor junior members of staff while undertaking a variety of applications for residential, mixed use and commercial developments.

Qualifications and Experience:

In this instance applications are sought from candidates who are Chartered Members of the RTPI, have a minimum of three years' experience in the sector, preferably within a consultancy environment, and who have a proven track record of leading successful planning projects, preparing policy presentations and preparing proposals.

Within the role the successful Senior Town Planner will be:

• Delivering a variety of developments across the south of the UK in the residential, commercial and leisure sectors
• Advising clients on submitting planning applications and appeals, site allocations, strategic planning and housing land supply
• Undertaking planning appraisals
• Advising on the development potential of land and buildings
• Providing policy advice and research
• Liaising with clients and local authorities
• Mentoring junior members of the team
