37 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to investigate reported alleged breaches of planning control. You will be responsible for undertaking investigations, maintaining records and making recommendations on the course of action the Council should take. 

You are required to have good communication skills as a key part of the role is providing advice and assistance to the public. 

You will need to be a team player committed to meeting challenging targets and maintaining the quality of the environment. In return we will be able to offer a varied caseload and the chance to work in an attractive part of West Hertfordshire. The level of responsibility will increase in accordance with the development of your knowledge, qualifications and experience. 

Ideally you will have a wider interest in planning matters and experience of working in local government. You will need a driving licence which is valid in the UK and access to a vehicle.
