Planning Manager - London

Do you work for a residential developer who truly runs the full life cycle of their developments? No? do you want to? Well here's your chance!

Preferably a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute or be working toward your Chartered RTPI Status, you may even hold an RTPI accredited Degree and/or Diploma or Masters Qualification, alongside your two to four years' experience gained from a planning consultancy or developer background you will have worked and assisted on projects of circa 150 units plus.

As a Planning Manager your role will be to support the Land and Planning Department. As a key member of the team, you will be involved in all level of the project from acquisition and helping with background research as part of the due diligence process to help inform the purchase of sites. In addition, you will be tasked with assisting on major schemes that have been acquired that are complex in nature and require pragmatic solutions in order to gain planning permission. Therefore, you will fall back on your planning expertise and sound knowledge of the planning system, and attention to detail to deliver projects consistently to a high standard.

You will draw on your Highly developed relationship management skills to enable you to work closely with local authorities, public land owners and planning consultants and architects.

Using your strong commercial acumen to motivate, enhance and demonstrate the businesses and your own understanding and knowledge within the wider property development industry, to create new partnerships and relationships will be second nature to you and will lead you in increasing your credibility in the sector.

Experience working with the London Authority or Greater London Authority would be beneficial in this role but not a requirement.

You will meet regularly with all other departments within the business, ranging from the pre-construction team to the Board, this will provide you with an excellent opportunity /platform to work 'client side' or further your career in the housing industry. In addition, you will be given the necessary help from the Land and Planning Department to establish your role and further your experience working on some significant projects in London.
