Leeds

Penguin Recruitment is currently supporting a renowned Planning Consultancy who are actively seeking an MRTPI Senior Town Planner with 2-4 years of experience to join their Leeds office.
Recognised in the UK for their iconic projects, the Senior Town Planner will work primarily across the City and surrounding areas.
Duties of the Senior Town Planner position include:-
- Running projects independently and also as part of a larger planning team, working closely with the Client, Developers and Local Authorities.
- Undertaking full site assessments, offering expert professional advice both verbal and written to identify planning opportunities and potential issues.
- Prepare and submit detailed planning applications, including design and access statements, working closing with colleagues and other departments of the organisation.
- Offer guidance to junior members of the planning team to ensure project deadlines are kept to and all issues affecting budgetary constraints are dealt with in a timely fashion.
- Play an active part in new tenders and business development, including networking within the industry and attending client meetings and presenting effectively with all potential customers.
The MRTPI Senior Town Planner holds a high level of scope or career development, both from a project perspective as well as the opportunity to progress to Associate and eventually Partner status. The workload is varied and includes - Residential, Retail, Heritage, Conservation, Commercial and Mix-Use schemes.
