Development Management Team Leader - East Anglia
I am currently working with a Local Authority in East Anglia who are looking to bring on an Interim Development Management Team Leader for an initial 6-months, with a view to extend beyond this should all go well. The authority is incredibly busy at the moment, with plenty of applications going through what is a beautiful, rural part of the country.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing a team of 8 planners, from planning officers to principal planners
- Liaising with external stakeholders and developers
- Representing the Council at Committee meetings
- Signing off work of more junior members of staff
Previous Local Authority experience at Team Leader level and membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute would be looked upon favourably for this post however, they may consider an experienced Principal Planner who has had delegated authority for sign off of applications previously.
The authority are able to offer a flexible home working arrangement once you are successfully through the interview stage. They are able to offer a rate of between £50 - £60p/h, however are happy to pay more for an outstanding contractor.
Please do get in touch if this is a role that you wish to be considered for!
