We are looking for a Senior Planning Officer within the Policy Regeneration & Information Team,part of Development Services, totake on the challenge to shape and improve the Borough. We can offer a considerable variety of work including planning policy, regeneration, masterplanning and project management. You should have a degree, or equivalent, in Planning or a closely related subject and have prior relevant experience in the field of planning. As this is a senior role experience of leading a project or a team would be an advantage. 

You will have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with members of the public, colleagues and members, and to work effectively with stakeholders. Good written and interpersonal communication skills are essential.You will be able to work effectively under pressure, observe deadlines and work successfully independently and as part of a team. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information and advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement.

The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure.
