Suffolk County Council is looking for an exceptional candidate to fill its Head of Planning role.
We need someone who is credible, experienced and passionate about how Suffolk develops in the future.
Suffolk is a most attractive place to live and work, but it faces significant opportunities and challenges. We need to deliver growth in Suffolk which is sustainable and inclusive, meeting the needs of residents and businesses whilst respecting the environmental qualities - including designated important landscapes - ensuring that all our communities have access to services, jobs and housing. Suffolk is also host to the largest number of nationally significant infrastructure projects of any council in the country.
Partnership working across Suffolk authorities is strong and we have a good track record of working together to develop the Suffolk Design Guide and a Framework for Inclusive Growth in Suffolk.
We are also the Minerals and Waste Planning Authority and our Head of Planning role combines both development management and strategic planning.
Are you that exceptional person?
For an informal discussion please contact Sue Roper on (01473) 264538.
