We are looking for a key member of the East Area team that will be instrumental in transforming the Borough and opportunities available for residents.

We are looking for a Senior Principal Planning Officer to support The East Area Planning Manager to deliver a professional, cost-effective and high quality development management service.

You will be an experienced Development Management Planner; ideally you will have some experience of managing or mentoring staff.

You must be able to form strong collaborative working relationships with a range of public and private sector stakeholders and have excellent writing skills. Ideally you will have presented to committees and have some experience with reviewing junior officers work. You will have a relevant professional qualification.

You will have experience within a Development Management service either in a senior or principal role and be ready for the next step in your career. The role includes supporting and deputising for the area manager in signing off applications and mentoring of junior staff as well as managing a small case load of applications. You will be working within a geographic area of the borough and will be a key point of contact for your team members, applicants, agents and stakeholders alike.
