Surrey - Planning Officer

About the Role

You will assist in the provision of an efficient development management service; primarily processing a ranged caseload of planning applications, notices and orders through all stages of the development process from pre-application advice to statutory process and delivery.

You will typically deal with minor residential and commercial applications, inclusive of advertisement consent applications, lawful use certificates, condition discharge applications, applications for listed building and conservation area consent and prior notification applications.

About you

The successful candidate will ideally be MRTPI eligible and have a degree relative to Town Planning. You should also have proven experience working on similar projects in the UK and knowledge to hit the ground running with little to no supervision.

You will have good knowledge of Planning Legislation and how the planning system operates whilst exercising a desire to keep knowledge up-to-date and maintaining competency to adapt to changing legislation.
