Job Details
I am currently working with a local authority in the Hertfordshire area who require a senior policy planner to come in for an initial 6 month contract, though there is scope for it to be extended beyond this.
The role would require someone to deal with the master planning of strategic sites being brought forward through the new Local Plan in what is a busy, up and coming area of the country. You will also be aiding the delivery of infrastructure including a strategic Green Corridor; someone with experience of bringing a Local Plan through to examination is essential here.
The successful contractor here will need a degree in planning and have had previous experience of working on major development projects from a regeneration/policy perspective for a local planning authority.
Alongside this, the successful contractor will have good communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
The council offices are easily commutable from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and from London. I appreciate this is a brief summary; please get in contact for more information.
