Principal Planning Officer - Central London - £35-42 per hour

About the role

In response to a gap in the structure, my client are looking for an experienced hand to play an integral role in their Development Management team.

As the successful candidate, you will be tasked with handling a caseload of major and strategic development proposals, including Planning Performance Agreements, S73s and negotiating Section 106 agreements.

The temporary contract will be for an initial 3-6 months, however, further extension may be likely dependent on performance - previous contracts have been known to run beyond 12 months. There may also be potential for the successful candidate to transition from a temporary contract to a permanent employee.

The Successful Candidate

You will ideally have, or be eligible for, Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), be qualified to degree level in Town Planning or a relevant discipline and have proficiency in dealing with complex major development proposals, including PPAs.
