Assistant Town Planner

Your new company
Your new firm is a planning consultancy specialising in high density schemes within Central London for residential, commercial, leisure, sports and hotels amongst others. The team is made up of about 70 qualified planners with the opportunity to work alongside multiple directors keen to offer responsibility over different phases of projects to new recruits at entry to mid-senior levels. The firm has a strong promotion history with the determination to help ambitious and commercial junior planners progress into senior roles and winning new business for the team to create further income for the organisation.

Your new role
Your new role will involve supporting senior planners, associates and directors on planning process work for clients who are looking to secure planning permission for developments within London. You will be involved in conducting site visits and appraisals as well as attending meetings with more experienced staff. Your role will require you to be extremely accurate and look to take pressure off associates and senior planners by working to become the direct point of contact for clients over a period of time for current schemes.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a degree qualified town planner with an ambitious and commercial mind set, looking to satisfy the needs of the client with regards securing planning permission based on accurate reports. You will have excellent verbal and written communication, looking to establish direct relationships with clients with the help and support of senior members of staff.
