This role will be challenging, but in return you will have an opportunity to work for an innovative, top performing Council, within a highly supportive and friendly environment with opportunities to progress in your career.

We can offer a considerable variety of work to ensure your days are always different and rewarding. Wherever you are in your career, you will be managing your own caseload, dealing with a wide range of applications and pre-application enquiries and working with our planning enforcement team. The final consultation on our draft local plan has just closed. This plan allows for new housing at higher densities with the proposal for some exceptional circumstances sites in the Green Belt, which will lead to some interesting cases to work with.

Our District is unique and special. Our Councillors and residents have high expectations and so do we. Sevenoaks is more than 90% Green Belt. We have world class tourist attractions, including Hever and Chartwell (Winston Churchill’s home) to name just two. We’re one of the safest places in the country with good schools and an excellent quality of life, yet we’re just half an hour from central London by train.
