Regeneration Project Manager | Home or Office based | Sites in Bury St. Edmunds or Ipswich

Regeneration Project Manager required on a 12-month fixed term contract to deliver on the regeneration of an existing housing site in the east of England. This position is full time.

 

The role is offered on an ‘agile’ basis allowing total flexibility around place of work. You could work purely from home and site or from any of their 3 office sites located near Ipswich, Norwich or Bury St Edmunds. The role includes a company car alongside a salary circa £35k - £37k.

 

My client is a forward-thinking business with ethical principles, placing great importance on investing in staff development and happiness. They are looking for a Project Manager with experience in development, town planning or a related field to manage the regeneration of existing properties at one of their sites in the east of England, to include redesign of the site, new buildings and spaces, refurbishment works and repairs.

 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of project managing residential developments either from a new build or regeneration perspective.

 

Who would this role best suit?

  • A housing regeneration project manager.
  • A Development Manager with experience working for a housing developer or housing association.
  • A Town Planner with a background in regeneration or housing development.
  • A local authority project manager with site management experience.
  • A housing association contracts manager.
  • This would be a great role for someone currently working in a more junior project management position who is keen to step up and take on responsibility for a whole site.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Management of the feasibility, appraisal and design process, obtaining Town Planning permissions as required (either directly or through external consultants DOE).
  • Procurement of relevant contracts and service providers to deliver the regeneration project, budget control and delivery of regeneration, refurbishment and building projects.
  • Day to day management of budgets, delivery and performance of contractors and sub-contractors in respect of the project. Measuring service and financial performance over time.
  • Arranging ongoing contracts for the delivery of annual servicing, installation and repairs services for domestic properties on the site.
  • Ensuring legislative and regulatory compliance in the delivery of health and safety and other relevant services, including the provision of risk assessments for all contractors on site.
  • Managing customer feedback and complaints related to the regeneration site.
  • Delivering an efficient and improved service for the housing site and its tenants through good contract management.

 

In addition to a competitive salary of £35k - £37k + company car or cash equivalent and a highly flexible working environment, you will be offered 25 days annual leave (plus flexibility to buy and sell), a high street discount scheme and a variety of additional benefits.

 

Whilst the position on offer is for a fixed term of 12 months, there may be opportunities for an excellent employee to remain with the business at the end of the term due to their continued expansion and success.
