Associate Director of Planning - Bristol

A national planning consultancy is seeking to appoint an Associate Director of Planning to their growing Bristol office off the back of strong results and further investment in the South Western area of the UK. Due to a number of new instructions and lots of repeat business, the Associate Director will have the chance to lead on major schemes, help with the further growth of the office and progress to Director.

On a daily basis, you will be supported by junior planners as you lead on large-scale, complex applications support the Director when pitching for new business and looking to grow the office and ensuring that deadlines are met on major projects.

As an Associate Director of Planning, you will be comfortable with handling complex applications, delegating to junior employees and managing your time efficiently. You will be expected to provide expert advice to clients on a daily basis and be comfortable chairing meetings with local authorities and consultants from other disciplines. Communication skills, both written and verbal will be excellent and allow you to thrive in the role.

The company is a national planning consultancy with almost 10 offices across the UK and regularly service a range of public and private clients including major housebuilders & developers, landowners and local authorities. The Bristol office is targeting major expansion over the coming years and the appointment of an ambitious and driven Associate Director of Planning is key to this growth.
