Senior/Principal Planning Officer

Our Client based on the South Coast are seeking a competent Policy Planner for a long term - 12 month contract.
Working in the Local Plans team the role involve the development, monitoring and review of planning policy under the existing and emerging new town planning system with particular reference to the National Policy Guidance, Sub-Regional Strategies, Local Transport Plan, Local Development Framework, Community Strategy and the Council's other strategies/policies.
This will include providing policy advice and lead on updating the Brownfield Register and Self-Build Registers as well as publication of the Authority Monitoring Report and organising public consultations on planning documents.


Initially for a 12 month period, the role is part time - ideally 22 hours per week with the option of some home working if required .


If you have a recognised Town planning qualification and

recent work experience in local government or private practice in planning or related specialist then our Client would like to her from you.

Any specialist area experience such as economic analysis, social analysis, regeneration or housing policy would also be advantageous.
