Reporting to the Planning & Corporate Affairs Director you will be responsible for ensuring that the interests of the airport company are protected by providing a strategic, statutory and land use planning direction and support service to the business.
The successful candidate will be closely involved in exciting projects such as the Airport Masterplan, the Newcastle International Airport Business Park and our input to regional and local transport and planning policy.
You will be a logical thinker with the ability to work independently and develop new ideas. As well as this you will be a confident and articulate communicator, who is capable of delivering lucid communications effectively, as well as demonstrate the capability to inspire the commitment of our stakeholders and the general public. The successful applicant should have excellent leadership and negotiation skills, as well as demonstrate flexibility. Furthermore you will be able to take hold of a project or situation and deliver the required outcomes.
You will be an experienced Town Planner and you will have achieved a degree / post graduate qualification in Town Planning. In addition to this you will be eligible for membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute. Applicants should hold a valid driving license.
