Planning Policy Officer

*Circa £25 - £30 per hour* *Cambridge*

Are you a Planner looking for your next role? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Policy Officer within a Local Authority based in Cambridge on an initial 3 month contract which has the options of further extensions.


We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:

• You will hold a degree in a relevant subject.
• Some specialist IT planning-related software capability, such as experience and knowledge of GIS or planning databases.
• Experience in planning policy preparation and implementation e.g. local plans, neighbourhood plan.
• Good appreciation of data sources, methods of analysis and presentation of data.
• Knowledge of some other branch of planning activity for example Development Management or Conservation.
• Some knowledge of the policy context of the Greater Cambridge area.
