An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious planning professional to lead our talented and dedicated Planning Enforcement team who are committed to delivering quality place based strategy and excellent customer service.

You will, have the opportunity to take a key role and lead on the most contentious cases within the borough. Our scheme of delegation and varied caseload will ensure you have exposure to all areas of enforcement. We will look to you for ideas to make our service better and help you capitalise on your interest to work with our local communities and other stakeholders to deliver the council’s priorities.

To be considered for this role you must have a recognised planning qualification and be eligible for membership of the RTPI along with experience of enforcement within a local authority. You will be expected to demonstrate qualities of sound professional judgment and initiative; have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a
desire to deliver a robust and effective local planning agenda. It is essential you have the ability to work as part of a team whilst using your own initiative to problem solve and effectively manage your workload to meet defined deadlines.
