An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious planning professional to
strengthen our talented and dedicated Planning Policy team. You will become part of a highly motivated professional team who are committed to delivering quality place based strategy and excellent customer service.

This is a career graded post so whether you are starting out in your career and want to gain experience of planning policy or someone looking to further their career this role could be right for you. We will also support you as you gain experience allowing you to progress through the career grades. The successful applicant will have a important role on key aspects of the borough’s next Local Plan, helping to shape the future of the borough at local and strategic level. With the level of planned future growth and investment, you will be involved in a broad range of planning and regeneration projects providing the interesting and varied challenges you’ve been looking for. The borough offers a wide range of rural planning issues and neighbourhood planning is a key priority.

To be considered for this role you must have a recognised planning qualification. You will be expected to demonstrate qualities of sound professional judgment and initiative; have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a desire to deliver a robust and effective local planning agenda. You should be eligible for membership of the RTPI and have relevant experience.
