Senior Highway Traffic Engineer

My client based in Gloucestershire is looking for a Senior Traffic Engineer to add to their team. You will ideally have experience working within traffic design schemes, have knowledge of relevant Highways safety practice and be able to lead a team of Engineers to meet objectives.

Key Accountability's include:

• Under the overall guidance of the team manager, to take the lead on assigned project and/or service development and delivery objectives, ensuring the effective deployment of delegated resources (money, staff and information) to achieve agreed targets.
• Communicate and interpret a range of technical transport related information from internal sources or external stakeholders to progress the work of the team.
• Develop specific expertise in the team's overall work programme, with the aim of becoming a source of authoritative advice and guidance to current and future project teams within the Transport Division.
• Design and implement a range of technical solutions to maintain, develop and/or enhance the highway infrastructure and/or related functions.

This is a 6 month contract role requiring full time hours. The rate is negotiable for the right candidate and will be between £28-£32 p/h. The role is inside of IR35.
