HA 8082
Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experience
Our client, a leading Environmental and Planning consultancy are urgently looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to work out of their London team. The company specialise in the delivery of planning policy development, development management and EIA services.
Qualifications and experience:
For this role candidates are sought with a relevant planning or environmental related degree (graduate or post graduate), which is preferably RTPI accredited.
It is anticipated that the successful Senior Planner will have a minimum of three years post qualification experience, preferably in a consultancy environment.
Duties:
- Managing an extensive portfolio of Green Belt studies for planning authorities, landowners and developers, including making judgments on potential harm related to development options and whether land should be included or removed from the Green Belt.
- Commissioning evidence base studies to support plans and strategies, including green infrastructure / open space studies, renewable energy capacity assessments, minerals and waste site selection studies.
- Undertaking Sustainability Appraisals/ Strategic Environmental Assessments and Habitats Regulations Assessments of local planning documents (including Local Plans, Neighbourhood Plans, Minerals & Waste Plans, Local Flood Risk Management Strategies, Forestry Strategies).
- Completing Policy research, evaluation and plan preparation
