Senior Town Planner
Swansea
£30,000 to £35,000
My client is currently looking to recruit a highly motivated and ambitious Senior Town Planner to work on a wide variety of high profile projects. With an enviable client list and the highest calibre back up team, they are able to offer unparalleled opportunities to showcase your talents and truly develop your career.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Promoting residential, mixed use and commercial developments (both Brownfield and Greenfield) through the Development Plan System and by coordinating professional teams to submit applications
- Co-ordination of project teams and project management
- Conducting research and site appraisals on projects for our client base
- Preparation, submission and negotiation of planning applications
- Policy representations
- Developing client relationships
- Input to planning appeals
It is essential that candidates:
- Have strong planning experience
- Are committed and have an eye for detail
- Used to working with minimal supervision and have an ability to use their own initiative
- Have a proven ability to maintain and develop client relationships
- Have a strong team capability
- Have strong project management skills
- Have strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car
You will need to have completed an MRTPI accredited course and be working towards or achieved MRTPI status. You will also hold a detailed knowledge of the UK Planning System.
