We are advertising a number of jobs to support the onward delivery of housing, which is a corporate priority.
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Planner to play a key part in shaping the future of Waverley. Unprecedented development pressures mean that you will have the opportunity to work on a rewarding range of challenging and complex planning applications. You will be a chartered Member of the RTPI or will be capable of achieving chartered Membership by the end of the probationary period.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking planning team dealing with a wide range of planning applications in a very attractive Borough.
Your role will be to:
• Manage development proposals, maximising the benefit to the Community.
• Defend Council planning decisions at appeal.
• Support and mentor junior members of the team.
This is a full time post. However, all applications will be considered.
Full Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or achievement of Full Chartered membership of the RTPI by the end of the probationary period.
The Council is committed to investing in the Planning Service.
Salary: £32,504 to £37,990 per annum + essential car user allowance of £1,239 per annum + £3,000 ‘Golden Hello’ (F.T.E.)
