I am currently working with a local authority based in the East Midlands to find an experienced Development Management Officer to join their team at the Principal level. The role will last initially for 6 months, but it is likely to be extended beyond this period should both parties be happy. 

The role will involve applications of up to 1000 units, as well as other, smaller major planning applications. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of dealing with large scale major applications
  • Experience of working as a Development Management Officer within a local authority
  • An ability to deal with a large, mixed caseload of applications
  • A driving licence 

For the role, the authority can offer rates of up to £45/hr, and the role has been deemed OUTSIDE IR35. The authority is also willing to negotiate a flexible working situation, including a pattern of homeworking.
