Environmental Consultant

Due to relentless growth my client are looking to add an EIA Consultant into their already thriving EIA team. If you're looking for a change of pace and are ready to work on some of the most exciting projects across the North West my client could provide you with the springboard you've needed to step your career up to the next level.

You'll need a degree and ideally a masters degree in Environmental Impact Assessments or an Environment based course. Your knowledge of the UK planning system will be pivotal to the running of EIA projects, ensuring successful coordination and management of external consultant teams is effective. In addition you will be drafting scoping and screening summaries alongside ES chapters and other non-technical summaries.

Within this position you will be working as part of an internal team as well as working with clients and external consultants. Strong communication skills will be key to being successful within this business.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Providing support to senior staff
• Mentoring junior staff
• Preparing high quality reports
• Effective communication and liaison with colleagues and clients alike
• Ability to manage large teams and monitor ongoing projects
• Defining your work with a solution driven approach
• Preparing well timed consultative appraisals
• Liaising with clients; including developers, house builders, hoteliers amongst others
