The Job:

The South Northamptonshire Council are seeking an Enforcement Officer based at The Forum.

We are seeking pro-active enthusiastic people seeking to develop their career in planning enforcement. Both authorities pro-actively monitor the built development and enforce against breaches of planning control.

The Person:

You will need to be pro-active and organised with strong communication skills being able to liaise appropriately with a range of stake holders. The enforcement officer role either a planning related qualification or experience in this field this would be seen as an advantage, with the role requiring investigation into and progression of planning enforcement related enquiries. Knowledge of the planning system is vital as are good pro-active communication and negotiation skills. The role will require the post holder to undertake site visits, draft formal planning related notices and write detailed reports and undertake planning related appeals.
