Bring it on Wirral Council is seeking selfstarters, problem solvers and team players educated to degree standard in either Town Planning or Environmental Sciences (Geography or related discipline) to join its Forward Planning team to assist the challenges of a busy spatial planning team, focusing on the Local Plan and it's supporting documentation along with development monitoring, the Brownfield Register, Neighbourhood Planning, Self and Custom Build housing and providing policy advice and information to both internal and external stakeholders.

We are a high delivering, high performing council and we want you to share these attributes, with the experience and skills to hit the ground running, you'll have all the support and training you need to excel in your role. Our team need great communicators, who can engage effectively with others at all levels. Whether it be working with elected members, or occasionally appearing in public forums, you'll need confidence and indepth knowledge. You'll also need a delivery mind set and the passion to help make our organisation the very best.
In return, you'll have the opportunity to hone your expertise in a council that is really going places. Ideally, you will have experience of providing policy advice and information, working with consultants, developing guidance and partnership working at subregional level. You'll have experience of the development plan process and knowledge of general planning principles, research methodologies, development monitoring, manipulation and analysis of social, economic or environmental data and general planning principles.
