Bring it on - Wirral Council is seeking self-starters, problem solvers and team players educated to degree standard in either Town Planning or Environmental Sciences (Geography or related discipline) to join its Forward Planning team to assist the challenges of a busy spatial planning team, focusing on the Local Plan and it's supporting documentation along with development monitoring, the Brownfield Register, Neighbourhood Planning, Self and Custom Build housing, providing policy advice and information to both internal and external stakeholders.

We are a high delivering, high performing council and we want you to share these attributes and you'll have all the support and training you need to excel in your role. Our team need great communicators, with high levels of emotional intelligence, who can engage effectively with others at all levels. Whether it be working with elected members, or occasionally appearing in public forums, you'll need confidence, in depth knowledge, a delivery mind set and the passion to help make our organisation the very best.

You'll have a good knowledge of general planning principles, research methodologies, the manipulation and analysis of social, economic and environmental data, development monitoring and handling spatial data.

We want people who are driven and ready to deliver. It is a fantastic place to live, work and visit. We are an employer who supports, who is flexible but who demands the very best.

No holding back. No excuses. Just change Wirral.
