Planning Consultant (Majors) - Buckinghamshire OUTSIDE IR35

A Local Authority in Buckinghamshire requires a Principal Planner to work in the Majors Team.

The Council is looking for an experienced Planner who can hit the ground running on major applications. You will be managing a caseload of major applications, working on residential schemes and commercial mixed use developments. You be attending committee and writing detailed reports. You will also be working on appeals and upcoming public enquiries and negotiating with developers and members of the public. There will also be some mentoring of junior members of staff.

The contract will be for an initial 3 months with a view to extend. The council can offer competitive rates and extremely flexible working arrangements. This role is Outside IR35.

Candidates should hold several years experience of planning Development Management experience within a Local Authority, having previously dealt with major applications. It is important for candidates to be politically sensitive to issues accompanying large scale applications. It would be preferable if you were MRTPI accredited.
