Job Details
A Bedfordshire Local Authority is looking for a Principal Development Management Planner, who would like to join a busy team, working on a range of major applications.
The Council require a Principal Planner to take on a case load of major applications. This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for some highly complex strategic planning projects, planning applications and development consent orders. Managing projects from conception to conclusion you will be liaising with councillors, senior officers and stakeholders to co-ordinate the delivery of major development projects.
You will have the opportunity to lead the preparation of evidence and represent the Council at planning appeals, including public inquiries, hearings, public examinations and high court proceedings. At Planning Committee you will make planning judgements and recommendations on major and highly complex planning applications.
The length of this contract will be for an initial 6 months, so would be a good opportunity to secure a contract that will run well into the new year! The role is Inside IR35 and rates are negotiable depdendent on experience.
