The Borough of Bedford has central location within the East of England, mid-way between the M1 – A1 about 30 miles north of the M25. This prime location means that about half of the UK’s population is within a two hour drive. London is just over half an hour away by train and its five airports are within easy reach from Bedford by car and public transport. Improving east west transport infrastructure means that the borough is enjoying increasingly stronger links with centres in the Oxford to Cambridge corridor. Within the Golden Triangle, Bedford Borough is already a great location to live and do business and its future prospects are excellent. Being a vibrant place to live and work the town of Bedford is surrounded by an extensive rural hinterland containing historic villages set within an attractive landscape.
