Leading Planning Consultancy with offices across the UK are offering an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Urban Designer to join a rapidly expanding design team and work on industry leading projects across the UK.



Joining an office that covers Architecture, Town Planning, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, the Graduate Urban Designer role will work on a wide range of projects covering residential and mix-use developments and you will have a mentor to work alongside to help you through your APC.



To apply the successful Graduate Urban Designer will hold a degree and/or masters in Urban Design with any commercial experience working within either the public or private sector being of particular interest. Specific training will however be given.



The Graduate Urban Designer will need strong design skills and work well within a close knit team environment. You will also need to be proficient in a wide range of software packages including AutoCad, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Illustrator and all Microsoft packages.



Key aspects of work will include working closely with major house builders, helping to conduct site appraisals and then working with master plans producing designs for part or the whole of the development. The Graduate Urban Designer will play an active part in design codes as well liaising with local authorities and other businesses either involved or affected by the development.
