Land & Planning Manager | Norfolk | Great Company | Car + other benefits

Job Details

An experienced Town Planner / Land Manager with (ideally) some experience of the land acquisition process and (definitely) a proven track record of taking residential sites through the planning process is required to take on an exciting, newly created role with a successful developer in the East of England.

My client, a forward-thinking residential developer in the East of England, is looking to hire a Land & Planning Manager to identify and acquire sites of varying type and size (including Joint Ventures), and gain permissions for a mixture of houses, apartments and new communities. Experience in delivering affordable housing schemes and knowledge of viability and other policies affecting affordable housing would be valuable, and MRTPI/RICS (P&D) membership is desirable but not essential.

Working alongside the Managing Director as part of the wider development team, the position is based in bright and vibrant purpose-built offices alongside several hundred staff across a range of skills and professions. Together, the company will be building 40,000 homes over the next 2 decades as part of an exciting multi-agency partnership agreement, with over 2,000 homes due for completion over the next 3 years.

The company has a strong ethical code. Delivering well-designed, high quality homes using modern building techniques that genuinely meet the needs of lower income families and individuals is what they do. Operating profits are always reinvested, they are proactive in their stance on building sustainable homes using environmentally conscious materials, tech and suppliers wherever possible and they promote strong social values around charity partnering, fundraising and inclusion. They support young people and new talent through their broad reaching apprenticeship schemes and they offer fantastic CPD and promotion opportunities for all employees.

In addition to a highly competitive salary, they offer a relaxed and flexible approach to working hours, dress and location, even offering a range of flexible workspaces within their fantastic office building. There is a good company pension scheme, 25 days annual leave rising to 28 days, company sick pay and a comprehensive staff rewards programme. The holder of this post will also receive a company car and for candidates moving from outside of the East of England, there is a relocation package on offer (subject to meeting criteria). And of course, there is always cake. Plenty of cake!

Interested? You probably should be!
