Strategic Planner | West Midlands | Strategic Land Promoter

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting an established and successful Strategic Land Promoter situated in the West Midlands, who are looking for an ambitious and talented Strategic Planner to join their team of planning experts.

The Strategic Planner will be expected to hold an MRTPI or equivalent qualification, at least 5 years of planning experience within either the private or public sector (ideally both) and will be expected to be able to identify different areas of opportunity while working efficiently within a team. They must also hold a broad based knowledge and understanding of the West Midlands and the surrounding area.

The role will involve duties such as:

• Working frequently in a client facing capacity.
• Liaising and negotiating with planning officers, architects, consultants, third parties.
• Responsibility for preparing planning appraisals for each new potential acquisition.
• Undertaking research and analysis in preparing due diligence for potential acquisition sites including but not limited to planning policy and planning history including on neighbouring sites.
• Investing in the development of a range of sites and projects and assessing sites for development suitability.
