Senior Enforcement Officer

The suitable applicant should have experience in a public sector planning department and be confident of being able to hit the ground running with a range of higher end enforcement duties.

The successful candidate will need to be able to interpret plans and policies and have a good knowledge of planning legislation.

There will be some proactive/reactive planning enforcement work, negotiating with developers and land owners.

Knowledge and experience of enforcement proceedings and appeals process, writing reports will be important for this position. Candidates will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

This role is most likely outside IR35 and the client is happy with flexible working, including some work undertaken remotely.

Rates for this role will depend on experience, but will be around £35/h, this may be flexible for someone who is especially well suited. The role will run for at least six months.
