Planning Officer

Introduction

Our client based in the beautiful area of Norfolk are looking for Planning Officer to join a busy Development Management team on a contract basis starting soon on a 3 month initial basis.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

Working on and managing your own caseload of householder and minor applications with more of a focus on minor applications across the 3-month period.

IR35 status:

This role is INSIDE IR35 (PAYE or via Umbrella Company)

Qualifications / Experience:

• Relevant related Town Planning/ Geography Degree/Chartered RTPI Status or working towards chartership/ Significant Experience
• Computer skills with experience of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and CAD software
• Sound written and numeracy communication skills able to converse with developers and the public.

Working conditions / environment:

• Mainly office environment
• Site visits if and when required (to live highways and construction sites)
• Communicating feedback to the general public.
• Ability to fulfil the travel requirements of the role.

Working hours:

• 37 hours a week
• Monday to Friday
• My client is happy to offer a couple days home working or offer condensed working hours if needed
• A willingness to occasionally work outside of 'normal' office hours if required for committee meetings etc.

Pay rates:

• £30 - £32 p/h via own Umbrella Provider or PAYE (the rate is dependent on candidate experience
• Weekly pay
