Your new company
Your new firm is a global, multi-disciplinary consultancy with a key interest within the UK market across its services. Some of these services include town planning, transport planning, heritage, architecture and building services within hotels, commercial, residential, energy and healthcare sectors. Their planning team in Central London contains over 40 planners with specialist teams assigned multiple areas of sectors to work on. As part of their process to promote members of staff, you will have the opportunity to be a part of an executive board to support senior board directors in the running of the planning team's activities as well as the social events that help develop team relationships in and out of the workplace.

Your new role
Your new role as part of your career progression will include more strategic level decisions within the firm as part of its growth as well as undertaking project and staff management responsibilities over schemes that the firm is involved in with clients including Ballymore and A2 Dominion across London, Birmingham and the rest of the UK. You will process and submit planning applications on behalf of clients while also overseeing the work of more junior members of staff. Your role will involve chairing planning meetings as well as managing client relationships as you take more ownership over developing new relationships and business for the company.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced town planner that has worked on large-scale projects in the UK as part of teams. In your past experience, you will prepared and submitted a number of planning applications for clients as well as managing projects from a leadership standpoint as well as mentoring junior members of staff in supporting their growth. You will have experience in dealing directly with clients and LPA representatives in projects including over verbal and written communication in addition to face to face discussions.
