Senior Planning Officer

We are currently working with a Local Authority in the wonderful area of Norfolk looking to bring on an experienced Senior Planner into their team. This is an initial 6-month contract with a view for this to be extended.  

This opportunity is currently Outside IR35 looking at £35p/h making this an exciting role!

It is essential that candidates:

• Have a strong knowledge of current planning legislation and experience working on residential and mixed-use development.
• Have 3-5 years Planning Experience.
• Have a demonstrable working knowledge of development control.
• Have excellent communication skills and an ability to liaise with both internal and external client.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Can work with minimal supervision and have a strong ability to use initiative.
• Have a strong team capability

Additional desirable attributes would be:

• Working towards/achieved MRTPI qualification
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car

The council are happy to offer flexible working arrangements; agile or home working is available. This role would be looking at processing applications of 10 - 100 units, with some commercial and industrial work as well.
