A well-respected and established Property Consultancy in Ashford are looking to recruit a passionate and ambitious Graduate Town Planner to join the existing team to work on an exciting range of projects across the South East.
Projects fall across multiple sectors and are varied in size which gives the successful Graduate Planner an excellent platform to learn and develop your planning knowledge. Previous projects have included residential developments, equestrian and riding enterprises, new agricultural dwellings, farm shops, leisure uses and industrial uses etc.
This position would suit a Graduate Town Planner who has just graduated from University through to a Graduate Planner with 1-2 years experience who is looking to work with a supportive and encouraging practice to kick start your planning career.
Key duties of the role:-
-Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications
-Attending site investigations, assessing planning potential and looking into historical precedents and planning restrictions affecting all developments.
-Working closely with the client, keeping them informed of progress both verbal and written including the appeal process.
-Working well as part of the team, but also where required independently, keeping to project deadlines and maintaining our clients high standard of work and delivery.
-Completing research and analysis.
-Keeping up to date on all planning legislations and potential changes in the industry, including local plans, whilst maintaining a log book of all work carried out for future submission.
The Consultancy have been in business for over 100 years and so have a strong and loyal client base. This position has come about due to an increase in instructions which requires additional, passionate Planning professionals to continue providing expert planning advice.
