Location: Appletree Court, Lyndhurst Hampshire

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: up to £42,340 per annum

We have excellent opportunities for you to progress your career as part of our Policy and Plans Team. You will be helping us progress our Local Plan Review through to adoption, working on a range of Supplementary Planning Documents and supporting the preparation of a number of emerging neighbourhood plans. We are looking for experienced planners who will enjoy working for an innovative and ambitious local authority with a strong commitment to delivering high quality environments, addressing housing needs and securing a strong local economy. We face major challenges in a district where 86% of its area is subject to development constraints and all new residential development is has an impact on the New Forest and coastal European designations.

Our offices lie in the heart of the New Forest at Lyndhurst, but we are an easy commute from the Southampton, Bournemouth and Salisbury areas. The Council is investing in 'smarter' working practices and we can offer flexible working arrangements for the right candidates.
