Planning Officer - Devon - Flexible Working

My client is looking for a Planning Officer with DM experience to undertake some small to medium size applications and some householder applications. Set in Devon, this well-respected Local Authority is set in a beautiful part of the world.

Your Duties will include:

• Managing a caseload of minor to medium planning sized applications within statutory time frames.
• Processing some householder applications.
• Provision of paid pre-application advice to developers, architects and external consultants.
• Conduct duty planning and provide general planning guidance to statutory, non-statutory, public bodies and the general public.
• Coordinate and independently carry out site visits and prepare detailed reports.
• Negotiate finalize and discharge conditions.
• Change of use applications.
• Advise planning enforcement teams about retrospective planning approval and variation to conditions

Experience

• Several years' experience, mostly recently being Development Management
• MRTPI preferred but not essential
• Private sector experience considered
