Our new local plan is currently at examination and proposes to deliver major growth in the Borough during the next plan period. You can play a key role and will have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the determination of major planning applications in the borough.

In addition, you will assist with the management and mentoring of our team of planning officers engaged in a wide range of other planning applications.

You will have good communication and negotiation skills and be able to demonstrate methodical and well organised working. It is essential that you have experience in development management and are able to work under pressure. Ideally, you will have some experience in staff management and project management skills.

Our offices are in the centre of Welwyn Garden City close to shops and the station. We operate flexi-time, flexible working and job share schemes.
