Job Title: Senior Planner (Major Projects)

Location: Norfolk

Duration: 6 months initially

Rates: £35/h+

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Working arrangements: Home working/ flexible or condensed hours available



Job Description

Throughout the duration of the 6 month initial contract with this Local Authority based in Norfolk the successful candidate will be:

• Manage and Work on their own caseload of major planning applications make recommendations on an applications; to ensure that decisions made and advice given accord with the Councils policies, Government advice and good planning practice
• To attend and present applications to Development Committee and undertake Committee site visit
• To prepare and provide written evidence and act as expert witness on the Council's behalf at public inquiries and hearings
• To provide and offer advice and guidance to prospective applicants, consultants and members of the public prior to submission of applications and on general planning matter

All candidates should have:

• 3-5 years' experience within planning and preferably working on major applications
• hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car to conduct site visits
