Senior Town Planner – Birmingham city centre

The Role
The Senior Town Planner will prepare planning appraisals and applications for a variety of schemes. You’ll provide high quality planning advice to a diverse clientele and begin to play a role in identifying business opportunities for the planning department. Working in a tight-knit team, you’ll be the right-hand man/woman to the Planning Directors alongside offering support to the junior members of the team.
The project base is mainly led by Residential, Retail and Commercial developments but the firm have recently covered Heritage, Agriculture and Leisure schemes alongside other niche areas of planning.
The Person
Detail conscious and working to tight deadlines, the Senior Town Planner will hold an excellent background within planning, preferably within the private sector. You’ll be MRTPI qualified and will a detailed knowledge of the British Town Planning system. The Senior Town Planner will often be the representative for the firm at various meetings, therefore you’ll need to be confident with excellent communication skills and an infectious passion for planning.
