Job Details
My client and I are on the lookout for a Development Management specialist to assist with a range of large-scale complex development proposals.
About the role
You will be asked to adopt a caseload major and strategic development proposals in some of the most picturesque parts of the country. Many of which will be associated with conservation areas, Listed Buildings consent, Green Belt matters, AONBs and SSSIs.
The successful candidate will also undertake negotiations with applicants/prospective developers and representatives of other Council departments. This will involve preparing planning and site briefs for major development sites as well as [potentially] negotiating complex S106 legal agreements.
You may also be required to mentor [not manage] junior members of staff.
This is a great opportunity for a Planner who holds experience with major developments to take a step up into a Principal capacity, or, for a current Principal to add value to an active authority!
The Successful Candidate
You will ideally be MRTPI accredited and must hold a degree relative to Town Planning. You should also have proven experience working on similar projects in the UK and knowledge to hit the ground running with little to no supervision.
My client are happy to discuss flexible working.
What’s next?
My client are looking to review applicants and hold interviews imminently, with the view to start shortly after. We are happy to wait for notices. Job descriptions are available.
