Mansfield District Council has a unique opportunity available for a Planning Enforcement Officer to join the Development Services team. We are offering the successful Planning Enforcement Officer a competitive salary of £26,470 to £30,756 per annum.
As one of the largest employers in the area we offer a wide range of services across the district including housing repairs, parks and green spaces, neighbourhood wardens, environmental health, planning and customer services to name just a few.
The Planning Enforcement Officer role
You will provide support for the Development Services Manager in implementing the Council’s planning complaints and enforcement policies and procedures. You will be required to investigate complaints received (including High Hedges) and, where appropriate, seek to negotiate speedy resolutions.
Our ideal Planning Enforcement Officer
- Educated to HNC standard or an equivalent qualification with extensive experience, in law and case investigation.
- Extensive experience of dealing with the public in difficult and often controversial circumstances.
- Experience in the investigation of breaches of Planning Legislation.
- Working knowledge of Town and Country Planning law and procedures.
