Job Details

We need an enthusiastic and motivated team player to take a key role in updating our local plan. This will involve close and pro-active working with local communities to coordinate their input to the Local Plan, or help them develop Neighbourhood Plans. This role will also involve undertaking research to contribute to the evidence base required to inform policy formulation on a wide range of matters across the District.

Winchester is a District that has real contrast and tough issues, with some of the finest rural landscape in England to areas of major housing growth. People in Winchester take a genuine interest in planning and have strong views about how it affects them.

You will have a recognised professional planning qualification, at least three years’ post qualification experience and preferably membership of the RTPI. You’ll have a confident approach, excellent communication and customer skills, a good working knowledge of planning legislation and processes.

The Team is based in town centre offices and we have a positive approach to flexible working patterns.
