Planning Officer

We are working with a local authority based in Somerset who are looking to welcome a Planning Officer to the team, to assist in dealing with an influx of work in the absence of permanent members of staff.

The contract will initially run for 4 months, with potential to be extended. Your caseload will generally consist of householders and minors, therefore, experience with these applications is required. As this role is to cover an absent member of staff, they are looking for someone to come in and hit the ground running with processing applications.

Rates for this position are negotiable. There is also the opportunity of flexible home working and part time hours.

The area is rural with some urban pockets, and a drivers licence is required for site visits.
